Hampton Estates Wall Settlement

Update for Hampton Estates Wall Settlement & Ellingsworth: A settlement for the repair of the Hampton Estates collapsed brick wall along Greythorne Loop has been approved and the agreement signed by the BOD. This agreement with Meritage directs that their sub contractor, Ovida, will restore 90% of the wall to include sections that did not fall two years ago. The end-state will be a contiguous brick wall running along lots 14-19.

Hurricane Dorian Update

Ellingsworth HOA Family, The HOA is preparing for the possible Hurricane impacts forecast over the Labor Day weekend. The following actions will be taken prior to landfall. Seminole Access will cut power to each Neighborhood gate prior to the Hurricane impacting us. Each gate will be left in its open position. HOA BOD will be making spot checks across all three subdivisions to make sure we are as prepared as possible as a community.

Ellingsworth vs. Guan Legal Update

Ellingsworth HOA vs Guan Legal Update: On August 23, 2019, The 5th District Court of Appeals wrote: “Given the clear language in both the Declaration and section 720.311, we conclude that Appellee [HOA] waived its claims against Appellant [Alice Guan] when it failed to submit the dispute to arbitration within thirty days after termination of mediation. We therefore reverse the trial court’s order, and remand with directions that Appellee’s claim against Appellant be dismissed with prejudice and that judgment be entered in favor of Appellant.
